Prof. Dr. Dan Li is Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. She currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, a Committee Member of the Nuclear Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and a member of the Radiopharmaceuticals and Clinical Translation Group. She is also a Standing Committee Member of the Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmaceuticals Branch of the Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association.

Her research focuses on radiopharmaceutical development, thyroid diseases and the gut microbiota, AI applications in nuclear medicine imaging, the effects of low-dose radiation on the tumor microenvironment, and human radiation dosimetry. She has published more than 104 papers in domestic and international journals, including 45 SCI-indexed publications as first or corresponding author. She has received support for 27 research projects from organizations including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Her clinical expertise includes 32P topical application therapy for keloids and hemangiomas, PET/CT-based precision oncologic diagnosis, comprehensive management of thyroid diseases, Sr-89 and Ra-223 therapy for cancer-related bone pain, and 177Lu-PSMA therapy for advanced and treatment-resistant prostate cancer.
