PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Nuclear Medicine, in the era of precision medicine, is growing fast world-wide, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. This is partly because of its molecular nature and its theranostic capability.

In 2020, Nuclear Medicine Society (Singapore) (NMS(S)) just turned 10, at this milestone, I am humbled to be elected to lead this still young professional organization abounding in vigour and vitality.

The Nuclear Medicine community in Singapore is a relatively small one but we have been constantly growing. Singapore General Hospital Department of Nuclear Medicine was the founding father of World Association of Radiopharmaceutical and Molecular Therapy (WARMTH) and Asia School of Nuclear Medicine. NMS(S), since its birth, has been a loyal and active member of WFNMB as well as AOFNMB. In the past decade, we have been in close relationship and collaborations with other organizations such as IAEA, Malaysian Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging, American college of Nuclear Medicine, Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine, to name a few. Nuclear Medicine Update 2027

16 - 18 April 2027

The biennial Nuclear Medicine Update 2027 (NMU 2027) is happening from 16–18 April 2027 at Academia, Singapore.

Bringing together experts and professionals from Singapore and around the world, NMU 2027 offers an engaging platform to learn, share knowledge, exchange ideas and explore the latest advances in nuclear medicine.

Whether you are a nuclear medicine specialist, trainee, allied health professional, medical physicist, radiopharmacist, researcher or healthcare professional with an interest in nuclear medicine, NMU 2027 has something for you.

Nuclear Medicine Update:

6th PET-CT Hands-on Workshop

15 April 2027

NMS(S) is in the midst of planning the next Nuclear Medicine Update: PET/CT Hands-on Workshop 2027.

Our last workshop in February welcomed 27 participants from Singapore and across the region, providing an enriching platform for insightful discussions, hands-on learning, and meaningful exchange among peers in the field.

We look forward to another engaging workshop and to continuing to advance knowledge and practice in nuclear medicine together.

NMS(S) 15th Annual General Meeting

The Nuclear Medicine Society (Singapore) has successfully concluded its 16th Annual General Meeting on 19 August 2026.

We extend our warm congratulations to Dr Huang Hian Liang, Prof David Ng, Asst Prof S. Somanesan on their re-election as Vice-President, Honorary Treasurer, and Executive Committee Member, respectively.
