Dr. Harish Nagaraj is a Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics specialist, currently serving as Head of Nuclear Medicine and In-Charge of the Integrated Molecular Imaging Centre (IMIC) at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), Kenya. He completed postgraduate training in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Medicine at the University of Nairobi, followed by a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT in India, and holds a Master’s degree in Oncologic Imaging from the University of Pisa, Italy. He is Adjunct Faculty at the University of Nairobi, where he teaches Nuclear Medicine to postgraduate Radiology and Radiation Oncology trainees. Dr. Harish has played a pivotal role in advancing molecular imaging and theranostics in Kenya, including the introduction of Ga-68 PET/CT imaging with FAPI, PSMA, CA IX and DOTANOC tracers, and collaboration with the IAEA to deliver the first public-sector Lu-177 PSMA therapy in East and Sub-Saharan Africa.
