It gives me great pleasure to welcome you once again to Singapore. Being our 9th year since the first of the Nuclear Medicine Update, it has become a regular meeting place for nuclear physicians, scientists, technologists and other professionals.
Nuclear Medicine continues to grow in scientific advances and clinical care over the globe and Asia is one of the regions with the fastest growth. Nuclear Medicine is playing an increasing important role in providing crucial disease biomarkers for personalized medicine. We have chosen the theme ‘”Nuclear Medicine in the Era of Personalized Medicine” for 2017 to focus on new innovations and refinements in these fields, in order to improve our clinical practice, guide our research, and deliver the best care for our patients.
Together with our partners in the World Association of Radiopharmaceutical and Molecular Therapy (WARMTH), Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOFNMB), the Chinese Society of Nuclear Medicine and the American College of Nuclear Medicine, we have again brought together a distinguished faculty of experts in an exciting scientific programme. I sincerely look forward to meeting you in Singapore, for an engaging and enjoyable time of learning, social and cultural interaction.
